MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reaffirmed the Liberian Government’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling promises made to the Liberian people during last year’s electoral process.
President Boakai said:” My administration remains determined to shape a future that will uplift the lives of every citizen.”
According to the Liberian Leader, this can be attainable by forging stronger bonds and rising above the struggles of the past.
The President’s comment was contained in a post on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
He admonished Liberians to embrace the spirit of unity and resilience in building a nation that all will be proud of.
President Boakai said the citizen’s fight for a new era is on track and the Government will not renege in working in the Liberian people’s interest.
Meanwhile, President Boakai and his entourage are attending the 2024 Canada Investment Forum in Toronto.
The Forum, which runs from September 19 to the 22nd, is a joint effort of the Liberia Trade and Investment in Canada and the QE24 Group of Companies.
The event aims to showcase Liberia’s diverse investment potential and to attract foreign direct investment that aligns with the country’s sustainable economic development goals.
According to the official itinerary, the Liberian Leader along with members of his Cabinet, including Foreign Minister, Sara Beysolow-Nyanti, and Agriculture Minister, Alexander Nuetah are expected to deliver remarks at the Forum.
Other members of the President’s delegation are the Minister of Mines and Energy, Wilmot Paye, Jeff Blibo, Chairman of the National Investment Commission, and John Siafa, Mayor, of Monrovia City Corporation.
President Boakai is expected to also hold sideline discussions with potential investors, as well as members of the Liberian Community in Canada.
