MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Fifteen teachers, along with three students of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS), are currently off to India on an international scholarship.
The scholarship is part of a Memorandum of Understanding recently signed between the MCSS and Global Arcus of India to leverage educational opportunities between the two institutions.
At a mini program to bid farewell, MCSS Superintendent, James Momo, challenged the scholarship beneficiaries to maximize the opportunity for an advanced education.
He said:” As part of the MOU more faculty members and students of the MCSS are poised to benefit in the coming years.”
Mr. Momo believes that quality and affordable education is one of the surest ways to tackle poverty.
Meanwhile, beneficiaries of the scholarship have lauded the Monrovia Consolidated School System and the Government of Liberia for the opportunity to acquire foreign education.
