MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Street Child Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has lauded the Government of Liberia’s decision to get more children off the streets and put them in school.
Mr. Tom Dannat said:” Over the last few months, the Liberian Government has been working closely with partners to remove children from the streets and get them in schools.”
Mr. Dannat described such decision as a huge political will and initiative the best way to give children the chance in life.
According to a release issued recently, the Global CEO of Street Child International made the remarks during his recent visit to Liberia as part of the Government’s “Street Child “project under the theme: “Support A Child, Save The Future”.
Through the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, the multi-year initiative aims to enroll fifty thousand street connected children in school.
Meanwhile, Tom Donnat, in a meeting with the Gender Minister, Gbeme Horace Kollie, praised the fantastic collaboration between different ministries as part of the bold initiative to reduce the number of street-connected children in the country.
