MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has dispatched a high-power delegation to the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) holding in Washington, DC, the United States of America.
The meetings are planned to run from October 21-26, 2024.
Headed by the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Augustine Ngafuan, the delegation departed over the weekend and is expected to engage in a series of multilateral and bilateral discussions geared towards harnessing partners’ confidence and accelerating support to Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.
While in Washington, DC, Minister Ngafuan is expected to hold separate meeting with World Bank Vice President, Ousman Diagani, Acting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State, Economic Bureau, Amy Holman, IMF Director for Africa, Adebe Selassie, and the Director of IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department, among others.
