MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti has reiterated Liberia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Sweden, particularly in areas that promote mutual growth and development.
Minister Nyanti highlighted the longstanding and cordial relations between Liberia and Sweden, noting that the two nations share a rich history of cooperation.
The Dean of the Cabinet noted that the Government envisions deeper cooperation with Sweden, fostering sustainable partnerships that will contribute to the development of the two countries.
Minister Nyanti also conveyed President Joseph Boakai’s sincere gratitude to the Government and people of Sweden for their continued support and partnership with Liberia.
The Liberian Foreign Minister commended Sweden for its pivotal role in fostering bilateral and historic ties with Liberia.
At the same time, Minister Nyanti has received copies of the Letter of Credence from Swedish Ambassador Designate to Liberia, Karl Backeus.
Ambassador Designate Backeus presented his Letter of Credence to Minister Nyanti as part of diplomatic protocols ahead of the official presentation of his Letter of Credence to President Joseph Boakai.
She then congratulated the Ambassador Designate for his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to Liberia.
According to a Foreign Ministry release issued recently, the Dean of the Cabinet reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to supporting Ambassador Designate Karl Backeus in ensuring a successful and rewarding tenure in Liberia.
In his remarks, Swedish Ambassador Designate to Liberia Backeus expressed his country’s renewed dedication to enhancing diplomatic ties with Liberia.
Ambassador Designate Backeus emphasized Sweden’s commitment to building on the existing relationship and advancing cooperation across multiple sectors, which would promote mutual understanding and shared prosperity for both nations.
He maintained that the Swedish Government remains keen on expanding its cooperation with Liberia, ensuring that the bilateral relations between the two nations reach new heights, especially in areas that benefit both countries.
