MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Justice has drafted a National Action Plan seeking to standardize Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, which was crafted since 2010.
The Plan, if validated, will address the issues of informal justice system with the involvement of cultures and traditions, especially in rural Liberia.
The disclosure was made by the Director for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) of the Justice Ministry, Gobah Anderson, Tuesday, October 29,2024, on ELBC Radio.
Mr. Anderson said:” The Plan is opting to handling petite cases outside of the court, such as persistent non-support, theft, and misapplication of entrusted property, among others.”
Meanwhile, the Ministry wants the public to adequately seek the Department of the ADR in resolving conflict resolution, instead of using the traditional means.
