MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has described the launch of the new Performance Management and Compliance System (PMCS) as a demonstration of the Government of Liberia’s dedication to delivering effective and accountable leadership to the Liberian people.
President Boakai said:” The PMCS is designed to benefit all Liberians and the Government remains determined to setting ethical and practical standards to be adhered to by every ministry, agency, and commission.”
He noted that by doing so, the Government remains resolute in fostering a public sector that values result and prioritizes service.
The Liberian Leader was speaking on Wednesday, October 30,2024, at the launch of the new Performance Management and Compliance System in Congo Town, outside Monrovia.
The document seeks to strengthen accountability, monitor performance and drive results across the Government ministries, agencies and commissions in Liberia.
Meanwhile, President Boakai has re-emphasized the Government’s unwavering commitment to fostering a climate of transparency and integrity in Liberia.
The President said:” Far too long corruption and inefficiencies have hindered growth and citizens’ empowerment and, it is about time that the Government takes concrete action to break the cycle and restored hope to the destitute population.”
He said the launch is not just an introduction of a new system, but a commitment to strengthen and empower the Government’s fight against corruption.
The Liberian Leader challenged officials to be effective to ensuring that the document is implemented and results are achieved in the interest of the ordinary citizens, as the Government will remain robust in leading a war against complacency and misuse of public trust.
The President re-echoed the Government’s commitment to good governance and sustainable development will help public institutions align their objectives with Liberia’s national development agenda.
