MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A two-day training aimed at enhancing the effective implementation of the Performance Management and Compliance System is ongoing in Monrovia.
The framework document which seeks to strengthen accountability, monitor performance, and drive results across ministries, agencies, and commissions of the Liberian Government was launched by President Joseph Boakai early last week.
Providing an overview of the exercise recently, the Director General of the Cabinet, Nathaniel Kwabo, said: “The training is part of a series of activities intended to educate public officials on the crucial role the document plays in meeting the Government’s targeted goals.”
Mr. Kwabo said to achieve the intended purpose of the document, it is important to bring all stakeholders together to fully understand the importance of the document.
The over one hundred participants are being drawn from all sectors of the Government of Liberia, including accountants, comptrollers, and supervisors, among others.
