Chinese Gov. Recommits to Liberia’s ARREST Agenda

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chinese Government has recommitted to supporting Liberia’s agenda for inclusive development.

Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Yin Chengwu said China remains a reliable and trusted friend to Liberia and it will continue strengthening cooperation with the West African Country.

Ambassador Yin made the statement Wednesday when he donated huge consignment of food and non-food items to the Gender Ministry in support of the Street Child Project recently launched by President Joseph Boakai.

The Chinese Ambassador to Liberia noted that the care and protection of children is a significant priority of the China-Liberia cooperation.

The items donated include, 400 bags of rice, 100 barrels of oil, 200 cans of powder milk, 500 cans of beef and 300 cartons of notebooks among others.

Receiving the items, Gender Minister, Gbeme Horace-Kollie, expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for their continued support to the development of Liberia and the Street Child Project.

Minister Kollie also committed her administration to strengthening the relationship between the Ministry and the Chinese government.

She re-emphasized that the successful implementation of the street child project requires the collective efforts of all Liberians and developmental partners.

Minister Kollie spoke when the Chinese Ambassador donated huge consignment of food and non-food items to the Ministry.
