MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah, says the Government of Liberia is making key strides aimed at improving the lives of the ordinary people, and the development of the country.
Minister Piah also noted that political reconciliation is visible under the Government, but requires the collective efforts of all citizens.
The Government of Liberia Chief Spokesman said:” The President continues to demonstrate his commitment to running an inclusive government, despite public outburst against him, while he was in the opposition. President Joseph Boakai envisions a united country contrary to the previous administration.”
The Information Boss spoke on Monday, November 11, 2024, on the ELBC Super Morning Show.
At the same time, Information Minister Piah has reacted to the delay in the submission of the 2025 Draft National Budget to the National Legislature.
Minister Piah justified that the President asked for an extension in the submission, hoping that the impasse at the Lower House could be quickly handled, but was later taken to court.
He maintained that the Executive remains concern about the rigmarole at the House of Representatives and is hopeful that the situation will be settled in the soonest possible time.
According to the information minister, the President is careful not to be seen as taking sides in the current stalemate at the Lower House at the Capitol, in Monrovia.
