MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai and entourage are expected to return to the country later today, following a four-day working visit to Sierra Leone.
The President’s visit was intended to further strengthen the enduring bilateral ties between the two neighboring nations in all sectors.
During the visit, President Boakai and his Sierra Leonean counterpart, Julius Maada Bio, pledged to enhance and improve bilateral relations in cross-border trade, agriculture, regional peace and security.
The Liberian Leader also held discussions with the Heads of the Mano River Union (MRU) Secretariat, where he called on member states to invest in the development of the youthful population.
The delegation, including Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti, Information Minister Jerolimek Piah, and Agriculture Minister Alexander Nuetah, among others, also met and interacted with members of the Liberian Community in Sierra Leone.
