MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has challenged young Liberians to champion advocacies that will effect change and encourage growth.
President Boakai also wants the youthful population to uphold high ethical standards in their daily undertakings as they are vital towards a brighter future.
The Liberian Leader made the remark on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, when he held a discussion with members of the National Youth Advisory Council in Paynesville City.
According to an Executive Mansion release issued recently, President Boakai congratulated the Council members on their appointments and emphasized their role in shaping the nation’s future.
The release quotes President Boakai as urging the leadership to take immediate action by crafting impactful plans to uplift and empower Liberian youth.
President Joseph Boakai also reminded them to approach their responsibilities with focus, discipline, and respect for the significance of their positions.
At the same time, the Government of Liberia has launched the Small and Medium Enterprise Technical Assistance Program to support SMEs with technical assistance and resources in Liberia.
The program, which is under the Liberian Investment, Finance, and Trade Project, is funded by the World Bank.
The government believes that the implementation of the program will help Liberian-owned businesses to grow and open the corridor of innovation and creativity, among others.
The program was launched on Tuesday, December 10, at the 2024 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Conference and Trade Fair in Congo Town.
The Government of Liberia also launched the Advancing Youth Entrepreneurship and Investment Program designed to support and empower young entrepreneurs to thrive.
