MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A team of technical staff from the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) led by the Deputy Director General for Technical Services, Administration, and Chief Engineer on Wednesday completed the installation of a hundred watts FM radio transmitter in Tappita, Nimba County.
The ongoing work across the country is part of the LBS Director General’s vision to ensure citizens listen to the State Radio in every county.
On the line from Tappita, the LBS Deputy Director General for Technical Services, Bhophelt Lloyd, told the Bumper Show that their tour is on instruction from Director General Eugene Fahngon to ensure that all substations around the country are fully functional.
According to Mr. Lloyd, the installation will now expand ELBC’s radio transmission to a radius of about fifty-five miles from Tappita.
Also speaking, Deputy Director General for Administration, Thomas Guwor, said:” The assignment is a continuation of the Implementation of the LBS strategic plan.”
The team is also expected to head to Grand Gedeh, River Gee, and Maryland Counties for major upgrades of the Liberia Broadcasting System’s substations in those areas.
