MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has begun paying for the feasibility studies to jump-start the Coastal Highway Project.
Public Works Minister Roland Giddings disclosed that phase-one of the studies will start from Buchanan, through Cestos to Greenville in Sinoe County.
Minister Giddings said:” Following the feasibility studies in February 2025, funding commitment from the African Development Bank (AfDB) will be made to implement the project.”
He said plans are being developed to diversify investments into the road network by attracting private funding, instead of solely relying on bilateral and multilateral organizations.
According to Minister Roland Giddings, the government is encouraging private investors who have already expressed interest in the country’s road network to look at the Coastal Highway Project.
