MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to making Liberia a land of opportunity for all to thrive and succeed.
President Boakai said this is achievable by creating a conducive environment, including security and infrastructure for all to invest and contribute towards Liberia’s development.
Speaking at the farewell program marking the 2024 Diaspora Annual Return in Monrovia, on Friday, President Boakai assured them that Liberia is open for business.
He said the government will continue to work tirelessly in creating an environment where the safety, stability, and peace of all investors and Liberians will be prioritized.
The Liberian Leader reassured members of the Diaspora Community of the Government’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and fostering an atmosphere of trust.
Meanwhile, President Boakai is urging members of the Diaspora Community to actively participate in the development and rebuilding process of Liberia.
President Boakai believes the expertise, investments, resources, and ideas of the Diaspora Community are critical contributions to the transformation of the country.
The Liberian Leader was speaking at the farewell program marking the 2024 Diaspora Annual Return in Monrovia.
He admonished them to remain positive in their actions and hopeful about their contributions in championing Liberia’s path to progress.
He said their contributions, both large and small, are pivotal to shaping the future envisioned aspired by all.
At the same time, Information Minister, Jerolinmick Piah is rallying the support of all Liberians in the diaspora to return home and contribute in moving the country forward.
Minister Piah said their contributions are pivotal towards the socio-economic advancement of Liberia.
He admonished members of the Diaspora Community to cultivate the spirit of togetherness and dedication in furtherance of national growth.
The information minister appealed Friday in Monrovia at programs marking the 2024 Farewell of the Diaspora Annual Return.
The government has disclosed ongoing plans to host the first-ever Liberian Diaspora Conference.
The Conference, slated for April this year, is expected to bring together scores of Liberians from around the world in Washington DC, the United States of America.
The disclosure was made by President Joseph Boakai at the farewell program marking the 2024 Diaspora Annual Return in Monrovia over the weekend.
President Boakai said the conference is key to advancing discussions that are critical to Liberia’s future.
The Liberian Leader believes these efforts being instituted by the government are intended to encourage Liberians in the diaspora to return home and contribute to the development of their country.
