MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has signed the Book of Condolence for former US President Jimmy Carter at the US Embassy in Monrovia.
President Jimmy Carter, who died at the age of one hundred in December last year, served as the 39th President of the United States.
In an Executive Mansion release issued recently, President Joseph Boakai, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, conveyed deepest sympathy to the Carter family and the people of the US for the loss sustained.
The Liberian Leader, in the release, recounted Mr. Carter’s contributions to advancing global peace, human rights, democracy, and humanitarian works.
President Boakai urged Liberians to join in solidarity with the American people, honoring the memory of a leader whose life was dedicated to the service of humanity.
The Liberian Leader was accomplished at the signing ceremony by Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti, Minister of State Sylvester Grigsby and Minister of Justice Oswald Tweh, among others.
