Pres. Boakai Underlines Vital Role of Private Sector…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has stressed the vital role of the private sector in driving Liberia’s economic growth and development.

 Speaking during a high-level meeting with the leadership of the Liberia Chambers of Commerce (LCC), President Boakai emphasized the Liberian Government’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for private sector expansion.

According to an LCC release, President Boakai reflected on Liberia’s past successes in the private sector-led growth, particularly in agriculture, and expressed optimism about revitalizing investments in critical sectors such as oil palm, cocoa, and coffee, among others.

The release further quotes the Liberian Leader as highlighting the importance of infrastructure improvements, specifically roads, energy, water, and sanitation as a catalyst for economic transformation.

In remarks, the President of the Liberia Chambers of Commerce, Natty Davis, commended President Boakai and his administration for the successful launch of the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) reaffirming the Chamber’s commitment to supporting the Liberian Government’s development priorities.
