MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Senior officials of at least six entities of the Liberian Government have affixed their signatures to a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICAT).
The instrument is aimed at enhancing tourism development and other related activities in the country.
Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando named the Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services, Liberia Immigration Service, and Monrovia City Corporation as entities forming part of the agreement.
Others include the Liberia Maritime Authority, the National Disaster Agency, and the Liberia Fire and Rescue Service.
According to Minister Sando, each entity has separate functions to be carried out as agreed in the agreement about the work they are involved with.
He disclosed Monrovia on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the MICAT regular press briefing.
Meanwhile, each entity’s head has assured their commitment to work vigorously with the Information Ministry in revamping the Tourism Sector.
