MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Civil Service Agency (CSA) has, with immediate effect, blocked the salaries of more than two hundred public officials for February.
CSA Director General Josiah Joekai said:” The latest move is in fulfillment of President Joseph Boakai’s action on the suspension of public officials who have refused to declare their assets.”
Mr. Joekai named the Ministries of Internal Affairs, State for Presidential Affairs, and Foreign Affairs, amongst others, as non-compliant entities.
He maintained that the CSA remains committed to transparency, and accountability in good governance in the public space, and as such, the entity is doing everything possible to ensure the right things are done.
Meanwhile, Mr. Josiah Joekai said:” As a result of the action taken against non-compliant public officials, the government will, for February, save over one hundred thousand US dollars in its coffers.”
The Civil Service Agency disclosed this on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the MICAT’s Press Briefing in Monrovia.
