MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia says it intends to shut down pre-eminently the cow factory slaughterhouse on the Japan freeway due to public health concerns.
According to an official of the Ministry of Agriculture, mechanisms have been put in place to ensure the proper closure.
Deputy Agriculture Minister for Technical Services Solomon Hedd Williams said the facility has also fallen short of the proper equipment to operate.
Speaking in an ELBC interview Wednesday, Minister Hedd Williams disclosed that the Careysburg slaughterhouse is equipped and ordered the relocation of large and small ramblings for such purposes.
Minister Williams said the ministry will enforce its mandate to ensure full compliance.
