Liberia’s Health Minister Kpoto Debriefs Global Fund Delegation…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Health Minister Dr. Louis Kpoto has held a debriefing session with a delegation from the Global Fund following a successful week-long assessment of Global Fund-supported activities across Liberia.

According to a health Ministry release, Dr. Kpoto acknowledged the contributions of the Global Fund in strengthening Liberia’s health sector, particularly in disease prevention and improving healthcare service delivery.

Dr. Kpoto highlighted key initiatives supported by the Global Fund and Gavi, including the construction of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Plants, the new annex of the Ministry of Health, and other infrastructure developments.

According to the release, Dr. Manasse Kassi, Global Fund International Portfolio Manager for the Western and Central Africa, commended the Health Ministry, the Liberia Coordinating Mechanism, and other stakeholders for their efforts in improving healthcare services.

Dr. Kassi emphasized that the meeting provided an opportunity for the Global Fund team to present updates on the implementation status of their projects following a nationwide assessment of various implementing sites.
