MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has called for concerted efforts in tackling the increasing waves of mob violence in the country.
President Boakai said: Mob violence does not only endanger lives and properties, but also scare away potential investors from the country.
According to the Liberian Leader, it is time for all concerned ministries and agencies of the Liberian Government to begin instituting measures aimed at curbing this crippling national challenge.
President Boakai believes that this action is counterproductive to the growth and development of the country.
President Joseph Boakai made the call at the second Cabinet Meeting taking place on the grounds of the Executive Mansion in Monrovia.
Meanwhile, the Liberian Leader says the government remains keen on creating jobs and empowerment opportunities for all citizens.
He said,” Empowering citizens, especially the youthful population, through job creation is a critical step to addressing issues affecting national growth.”
President Boakai then called for immediate steps to be taken to address youth unemployment and other issues that underpin their living conditions.
The Liberian Leader underscored the crucial role that youth inclusion and development play in achieving greater success.
President Joseph Boakai reaffirmed the government’s renewed commitment to advancing an agenda that prioritizes and reflects the needs and aspirations of the Liberian people.
