MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The “Mothers of Tomorrow-Liberia” (MTL), in collaboration with its umbrella organization, Patriotic Consciousness Association, has honored the Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting system (LBS), Eugene Fahngon.
Mr. Fahngon was honored for various transformative initiatives under taken at the National Broadcaster.
The President of the “Mothers of Tomorrow Liberia”, Janet Koffa, said:” The honoring of DG Fahngon as “Outstanding Public Servant 2024/2025” stemmed from his dedicated service at the State Broadcaster.
Madam Koffa, however, pleaded with the Director General of LBS to assist them in any way he can to enable them take care of their children.
The MTL President noted that most of their members are widows who lost their families and husbands during the Liberia civil crisis, leaving them to fend for themselves and their children, alone.
Madam Koffa urged Directed General Fahngon to keep doing his work, ensuring that the Liberian people get informed about happenings in their country.
AT the same time, the LBS Director General, in is acceptance speech lauded the “Mothers of Tomorrow-Liberia” for the recognition.
Director Fahngon highlighted some major achievements at the LBS, while disclosing plans to purchase new equipment to provide television coverage to five counties, soon.
He noted that it is the sole responsibility of the State Broadcaster to inform citizens across the country, thus revealing that LBS will always fulfill that mandate.
Director General Eugene Fahngon pledged LBS’s commitment to help the MTL to air programs that will assist and promote the work they do.
The Liberia Broadcasting System Director General then assured that LBS will continuously work to strengthen and collaborate with the MTL.
