Nat’l AIDS Control Program of Liberia Graduates Several Healthcare Professional from Grand Bassa County

GRAND BASSA COUNTY, LIBERIA-The National AIDS Control Program (NACP) of the Ministry of Health, with support from Evidence Action, has graduated and certificated several healthcare professionals from Grand Bassa County.

The graduation followed their successful participation in the first graduate Master Trainers for Syphilis Screening program.

The trainers are expected to facilitate, along with other healthcare providers, the rollout of HIV/syphilis dual tests for pregnant women and their partners as well as strengthen efforts to eliminate the spread of HIV/syphilis across the country.

A Health Ministry release said the team conducted onsite sessions across all healthcare facilities in Grand Bassa County that offer antenatal care (ANC) and HIV testing services.

Community Health Department member, Stephen James, in the release, expressed gratitude to Evidence Action for its continued support of the National AIDS Control Program and efforts toward creating an HIV-free environment in the Country.

Meanwhile, the release said Grand Bassa County was also recognized and certificated for its outstanding performance indicators at the national level.
