MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A high-power African Development Bank delegation is in Liberia on a two-week mid-term revision of the Smallholder Agriculture Development for Food and Nutrition Security Project.
The Delegation, headed by the Bank’s Principal Agricultural Economist, Mark Eghan, will assess progress made by the project, provide implementation support on procurement, financial management, and execution.
In a release issued on Monday, March 24, 2025, Agriculture Minister Dr. Alexander Nuetah welcomed the Delegation and emphasized the importance of aligning the project’s objectives with the National Agriculture Development Plan of Liberia to prevent delays.
The release quotes Minister Nuetah as saying the arrival of the Bank’s Delegation highlights the Bank’s continued commitment to enhance food and nutrition security in the country.
Meanwhile, the Delegation is expected to engage beneficiaries and implementing partners of the Smallholder Agriculture Development for Food and Nutrition Security Project, to gather insights on the impact and identify areas for further support.
