Liberia’s First Lady Dedicates Fifty Olympus Microscopes

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s First Lady Kartumu Boakai has dedicated fifty Olympus Microscopes to the Ministry of Health.

The microscopes were provided by the Global Fund.

The instrument is intended to enhance the country’s laboratory diagnostic services, ensuring more accurate and timely TB detection.

Speaking on behalf of the First Lady, the Media and Communications Consultant in the Office of the First Lady, Varfee Holmes, said:” Liberia’s fight against TB is the collective effort of every Liberian.”

As the newest National TB Champion, the Office of the First Lady urged all Liberians to take the right precautionary measures, including early testing, proper treatment and maintaining healthy living condition to end the menace.

Meanwhile, receiving the donation, a representative of the Montserrado County Health Team thanked Madam Kartumu Boakai for buttressing the Health Ministry’s efforts to end TB across the country, stressing that such support will be used for its intended purpose.
