MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) and partners are expected to commence the West Africa One-Health-Policy Conference in Liberia tomorrow, Wednesday.
According to the Acting Deputy Director General for Technical Services at NPHIL, Dr. Julius Gilayeneh, the conference is aimed at engaging stakeholders, communicating findings from a research project, and informing policies.
Dr. Gilayeneh noted that the conference will also focus on understanding, preventing, and mitigating disease outbreaks in West Africa.
He further disclosed that the conference will highlight the relationship between the changes in demography in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Nigeria, and Liberia, among others.
It is expected to run from March 26 to March 28, 2025; he disclosed on Tuesday, the super morning.
