MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Power supply at the Roberts International Airport has been fully restored, and airport operations have returned to normal.

The temporary disruption, which occurred on Sunday evening, was due to an electrical issue stemming from the Liberia Electricity Corporation’s power grid.

The Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) clarified that recent reports linking the power disruption at the RIA to an alleged fuel shortage are false and misleading.

Meanwhile, joint efforts are underway to address future power outage occurrences at RIA recently.

According to a release from the LEC, it is working closely with the LAA to investigate and address the issue.

The incident underscores the importance of unity, coordination, and proactive planning to safeguard critical national infrastructure.

LEC said it remains committed to delivering reliable and quality electricity services to all Liberians in collaboration with the LAA and other government stakeholders.
