MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Finance Minister Augustine Ngafuan is leading a Liberian delegation to the 2025 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.
The meeting is scheduled between April 21-26, 2025, in Washington, D.C., with Central Bank Governor, Henry Saamoi, Public Works Minister, Roland Giddings, Education Minister Dr. Jarso Jallah, among others, forming the team.
The Liberian delegation is expected to hold a series of multilateral and bilateral discussions aimed at galvanizing support for Liberia’s Development Agenda.
While in Washington, D.C., the finance minister will hold separate meetings with the World Bank Vice President, Ousman Diagana, the IMF Executive Director, Ouattara Woutabouna, and the IMF Director for Africa, among others.
Mr. Ngafuan will chair the meeting of the Standing Committee of the AfDB Board of Governors on Conditions of Service for Elected Officers upon invitation of the Bank.
Finance Minister Ngafuan and the delegation will also hold follow-up meetings with the Kuwait Fund and other Arab lenders aimed at securing financing for the pavement of the Gbarnga-Mendikorma Road.
