MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah has called on Members of the House of Representatives to unite in fostering development for Liberia.
At a MICAT Press Briefing on Thursday, April 24, 2025, Minister Piah said:” The ongoing impasse at the House of Representatives has the propensity to undermine the gains that the Government of Liberia is making.”
Minister Piah also recommitted the government to upholding the constitutional principles of the Republic.
The information minister emphasized that while the government continues to respect the separation of power, the long-standing misunderstanding, he says, is creating a setback for the smooth operation of the government.
Minister Jerolinmek Piah, on behalf of the government, urged both parties at the House of Representatives to respect the decision of the Supreme Court, while finding a way forward for the sake of the country.
