CAREYSBURG, RURAL MONTSERRADO COUNTY, LIBERIA-A twenty-million United States dollar government-funded agriculture project is underway in Careysburg, in Montserrado County.

The project focuses on the production of poultry products. When completed, it is projected to produce up to two hundred thousand eggs per day, marking a major breakthrough for local poultry production.

Speaking to reporters during a project tour on Friday, May 2, 2025, President Joseph Boakai described the initiative as a game changer for the country.

President Boakai emphasized that with the production of poultry products in Liberia, the government will be in the position to control sicknesses associated with consuming imported frozen chicken eggs.

According to the Liberian Leader, when completed, the poultry farm will be the biggest in pre- and post-war Liberia.

He said his administration remains committed to improving the lives of the people by ensuring sustained infrastructure development across the country.
