MONROVIA, LIBERIA- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Liberia National Police (LNP) and Cuttington University in Suacco, Bong County, with a call for more engagement with the youth.

Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman said,” The LNP-Cuttington University Capacity Development program is more than a recruitment effort, but a bold step in building a professional, educated, and youth-driven police force.”

Inspector Coleman said,” My vision is rooted in the principles of transformation, service delivery, and sustainability, which aligns with the ARREST Agenda of the Liberian Government.”

Col. Coleman added that the partnership demonstrates how public institutions can work with academia to address manpower challenges and create a lasting national impact.

The LNP Boss noted that the program is a prototype that will be repeated across other regions and universities in Liberia and stands as a testament to the belief that policing must evolve.

For her part, the President of Cuttington University, Romell Horton, said:” The agreement signed signifies deep trust between the LNP and the institution.”

Madam Horton stressed that it lays the foundation for an educated, peaceful, and more secure future for not only Cuttington University, but also the nation as a whole.

She said,” By signing the MoU, they have reaffirmed their commitment that will be measured by the trust and urged all to focus on capacity building.”
