MONROVIA, LIBERIA- The Liberian Government has committed to the allocation of $ 3 million US Dollars to rehabilitate the road from Phebe to Totota in District Six, Bong County.
Bong County Senator and Chair of the County Legislative Caucus, Prince Moye, disclosed that phase one of the road rehabilitation will begin from Totota to Sanoyea at the cost of eight hundred thousand US dollars.
Senator Moye said,” The over eight hundred thousand was captured under the Ministry of Public Works budget for 2025 to jump-start the project.”
Senator Moye said the government is committed to allocating the remaining 2.2 million USD in the 2026 National Budget to continue the rehabilitation of the road.
According to him, phase two of the road will commence from Sanoyea to Gbonota, and then onward to Phebe.
The Bong County Legislative Caucus Chairman stated that the government intends to make the road pliable in all seasons.
