MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Acting Managing Director of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) has disclosed ongoing efforts to bring in the country to address the gap in electricity supply.
Mohammed Sheriff said,” The additional power will provide about forty to fifty megawatts, thus contributing to the overall generation capacity.”
Speaking to reporters recently, the LEC Boss emphasized the importance of engaging the regional bloc to access and negotiate power supply.
He said:” The new management team at the LEC is providing effective leadership, which includes the ability to respond to changing circumstances, recalibrate strategies, and make quick adjustments.
The Acting LEC Boss also highlighted the comprehensive assessment conducted across the value chain, including generation, transmission, distribution, and commercial aspects, to identify bottlenecks and areas of intervention.
