MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Red Cross Society is amongst the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, celebrating the Month of May as World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
The celebration is under the theme: “On the Side of Humanity”, with a slogan: “Call to Action”.
This year’s theme stresses the firm commitment of millions of volunteers and staff around the world, mainly those working in conflict zones, natural disasters, and public health crises.
Meanwhile, the Liberia National Red Cross Society Secretary General, Gregory Blamoh, underlined the importance of continued humanitarian action in the face of global and local crises.
Mr. Blamoh has reaffirmed the entity’s commitment to stand with the vulnerable, the displaced, and the distressed.
