Transport Minister Sirleaf, Guinean Counterpart Reaffirm Commitment…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Minister of Transport, Sirleaf Tyler, and his Guinean counterpart, Felix Lamah, have reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to strengthening bilateral and regional transport systems across West Africa.

Minister Tyler also expressed Liberia’s steadfast readiness to collaborate with all West African nations to improve land, sea, and air transport links for the benefit of regional development and trade.

According to a release issued recently, the commitment was made during a high-level meeting held between the two ministers in Monrovia over the weekend.

In the release, Minister Tyler emphasized the strategic importance of regional integration in transportation to unlock economic opportunities, enhance mobility, and foster unity amongst ECOWAS member states.

The transport minister, on behalf of the Liberian Government, expressed deep appreciation to his Guinean counterpart and reaffirmed Liberia’s willingness to strengthen bilateral ties with Guinea through shared infrastructure, joint policy formulation, and information exchange.

For his part, Guinean Transport Minister Felix Lamah pledged his country’s commitment to working closely with Liberia to develop stronger transport policies that will benefit both nations and the region at large.

According to the release, the Guinean Transport Boss described the visit as a demonstration of both nations’ shared commitment to building better transportation systems for all their people.

He said:” Guinea remains ready to deepen cooperation with Liberia aimed at fostering a safer, efficient, and more accessible Transport Sector.

The release noted that the diplomatic exchange between both nations marks another key step in fostering cross-border collaboration, aimed at improving infrastructure, facilitating trade, and promoting regional integration in West Africa.
