MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has made a major increment in the salaries of employees of four additional sectors of the government ministries.

Making the disclosure on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Civil Service Director General Josiah Jokai named the education, agriculture, health, and security sectors as those being affected at the moment.

Director Jokai said,” The move is part of the government employees’ regularization project, which is aimed at upgrading the living standards of civil servants across the country.”

He added that those sectors currently play a critical role in the lives of the citizens of Liberia.

The CSA Boss iterated that the top-up will motivate and foster more productivity within the Public Sector, and help achieve the government’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.

At the same time, the CSA says the entity has in its Special Escrow Account eighty-nine thousand five hundred seventy-seven US dollars.

Mr. Jokai said:” The money is being raised as a result of the President’s actions towards several officials of the government who refused to declare their assets this year.”

It can be recalled that more than four hundred public officials were suspended by the Liberian Leader for not declaring their respective assets in accordance with the law.

According to Director Jokai, the account statement of the money raised has already been presented to the President.

He maintained that the amount being raised by the CSA is currently targeting the One Child, One Chair Presidential initiative, as it was promised by President Boakai.

The CSA Boss disclosed that the CSA and the Education Ministry are working collaboratively to ensure that over two thousand chairs are produced by local government TVET Institutions, like the Booker Washington Institute (BWI), and the Monrovia Vocational Training Center.
