MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to construct two passport stations in July this year in Bong and Bomi Counties.
The project, according to Deputy Information Minister for Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, is part of the Foreign Ministry’s decentralization plan to ease the difficulties faced by local residents to acquire passport.
According to Minister Sando, the station will not just benefit the two counties, but nearby counties like Nimba, Gbarpolu, and Cape Mount, among others.
Meanwhile, Deputy Information Minister Sando said,” The country continues to gain international recognition under the leadership of President Joseph Boakai.”
He announced on Thursday, May 22, 2025, that Liberia has joined its international counterparts as a member of the International Fisheries Committee.
Minister Daniel Sando noted that this is as a result of the country’s Fisheries management policy that reaches international standards.
