Civil Service Agency Boss to Draft Policy to Remove Domestic Staff…

by Administrator

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Director General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA), Josiah Joekai, says the entity is working on a draft policy to be endorsed that will see the removal of domestic staff who are not civil servants in the offices of the President, Vice President, and Senate Pro-Tempore upon transition of government.

CSA Boss Joekai said,” Those domestic employees will be placed on a fixed contract that will be terminated upon the tenure of the President, Vice President, and Senate Pro-Tempore.”

He further stated that when the document is finalized, other domestic staff in the offices of the Speaker, Chief Justice, and Associate Justices will also be affected.

Mr. Joekai also clarified that the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs complies with the CSA, amid speculations that the Ministry of State was captured in the General Auditing Commission’s report for paying ghost employees.

Director General Josiah Joekai emphasized that the domestic staff will be paid through the collapsed centralized government payroll and not from a supplementary payroll.

Director General Josiah Joekai disclosed at the MICAT Press Briefing on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
