CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-Disagreement have ensued among leaders and partisans of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Chapter, in Grand Cape Mount County.
It followed new appointments of new local officials by CDC National Chairman, John Morlu.
Announcing the new officials at a press conference recently, newly appointed CDC Grand Cape Mount County Chairman, Milias Sheriff, vowed to rebrand the Party locally and ensured victory.
Mr. Sheriff said:” As acting leadership, we have a mandate to lead the restructuring process of the CDC, in Grand Cape Mount County.
However, the press conference did not go down well with outgoing Chairman Boima Kamara, who claimed he is still the local chairman of the CDC in the County.
Mr. Kamara, who has been in the position for fifteen years, said: “I am not been informed about any new appointments, and therefore will not allow any power transfer.”
He told ELBC that the local official and partisans of the ruling party fell overlooked by the CDC National Leadership.
