LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah has returned home after successfully participating in the regional Heads of State Summit on Drought, Resilience and Land Management in the Ivory Coast.
While in the Ivory Coast, President Weah urged leaders in the ECOWAS Region and the African Continent to take collective action in preserving, protecting land.
In a speech delivered at the Summit, President Weah described land as a major natural resource that must be protected against depletion and degradation.
The Liberian Leader stressed the need for crucial financial support towards addressing land degradation and ecosystem restoration , in order to avoid draught.
President Weah and entourage touched down minutes ago at the Roberts International Airport in Margibi County.
