Liberia Business Asso., Partners launch Digital Platform…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A digital platform to link farmers across Liberia to investors and foreign markets has been developed.

The Locality-Sensitive Agriculture Electronic Database (L-SAED) platform is developed to locate and identify farmers and farmlands, and provide a linkage with investors and international markets.

The Liberian Business Association (LIBA) and partners over the weekend launched the L-SAED digital platform, as part of the Association’s Liberia Food Production Program.

It is designed to determine which farmer in a specific farming locality is producing what type of crop and in what quantity.

Launching the platform over the weekend, LIBA President, James Strother, said:” The move is to support indigenous farmers and expand the Liberian economy.”

The Business Association President noted that the platform will create the condition to build the domestic capacity of farmers, to handle Liberia’s food security and address the country’s dependency on foreign imports.
