NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Citizens of Beo-Bongarplay in District-Four, Nimba County, are expected to benefit from a twelve-bedroom clinic.
The project is a self-help initiative by residents of the area, with support from Representative Garpue Kargon.
ELBC Nimba County Correspondent quotes residents of the area as saying for the past two-years, fifty-seven persons died as a result of lack of clinic in the area.
They told our Correspondent that patients are being transported on long distances, due to the absence of health facility, thus leaving others dead.
The clinic, worth over twenty-thousand United States Dollars, will contain staff quarter, maternal waiting room and other offices, if completed.
During the recent groundbreaking ceremony in the District, Nimba County District-Four Representative, Garpue Kargon, promised to work along with health authorities to ensure that medical equipment and drugs are supplied at the clinic.
