MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has certificated Cllr. Joseph Jallah, as winner of the just ended Lofa County June 28, 2022 Senatorial By-Election.
The certification followed an intense electoral exercise that saw a tight race between eventual winner and former Lofa County Superintendent Galakpa Kortimai.
Speaking at the certification ceremony Wednesday, July 13, 2022, NEC Chairperson Davidetta Browne-Lansanah reaffirmed NEC’s commitment to conducting free, fair and credible elections in Liberia.
Also speaking, Cllr. Joseph Jallah called for reconciliation and unity among the people of Lofa County, while promising to work along with other lawmakers in pushing the County’s development goals.
He vowed to lobby with members of the Legislature in ensuring that the NEC is provided the necessary funding to carry out its statutory mandate.
