Pres. Weah reaffirms Gov’t’s commitment to road connectivity across Liberia

GANTA, NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah has reaffirmed his Government’s commitment to road connectivity across Liberia.

President Weah said his Government will do it can to connect the last mile villages by farm to market roads, while, at the same time, linking major Liberian towns to neighboring countries.

The President was speaking during a town hall meeting with chiefs and elders of Nimba County in Sanniquellie on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

During the meeting, President Weah said that the ongoing construction of roads, provision of free tuition, scholarships and many other things demonstrates the fulfillment of promises made to the people of the county , during the 2017 elections.

The Liberian Leader recounted his Government’s numerous development achievements in the space of four years, against what was done during 171 years of existence before his ascendency.

President Weah assured the chiefs and elders of more developments in the coming years, if the people of Nimba County see the need to continue him beyond 2023.

At the same time plans are underway to construct a modern hospital in Sanniquellie City.

President Weah said:” Government is holding talks with development partners from the United Arab Emirates for the project.”

Citizens of Sanniquellie had earlier expressed concerns over the relocation of their hospital, due to the risk pose by a railroad near the facility.

President Weah assured that current discussions between Government and development partners would yield fruitful results.
