MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) and the West African Examination Council (WAEC), has embarked on a rigorous permit renewal process across the Country.
Speaking to ELBC on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the Director of Communication at the Ministry of Education, Maxim Bleeten, said the process will cover all private schools.
Mr. Bleeten said:” It is important for school administrators to meet up with all requirements to allow them operate freely.”
He added that the clearance will also qualify their students for National Exams.
Also speaking, LRA Assistant Commissioner for Government and Non-For-Profit Division, Eddie Howe, encouraged school administrators to ensure that they are in tax compliance.
According to him, a team of inspectors will begin engaging school administrators beginning now to the end of this year, to ensure that their students are eligible to sit the National Exams.
