MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives on Tuesday adjourned its extraordinary session.
Giving statistical report on the Special Session, the Chair on Executive Representative, Acarous Gray, said eleven Regular and five Executive sittings were held.
Representative Gray said of the fifteen bills introduced, eleven were passed including six Executive Bills.
He named an Act to amend certain sections of the New Election Law, an Act to create the PYJ Polytechnic University College and grant it a chapter, and an Act to establish the Belle Balunma Magisterial Court Belle District, Gbarpolu County among others as some of the bills passed by the House of Representatives.
The Executive Bills passed include an Act to ratify the Investment Incentive Agreement between Liberia and the Modern Mills Incorporated, Financing Agreement between Liberia and International Development Association for the Liberia Urban Resilience Project, and the amended PFM Law of 2021 to enable fiscal decentralization as contemplated by the Local Government Act of 2016.
