MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The fake video circulating on social media that links Government to training paramilitary group in Grand Gedeh County continues to receive unprecedented condemnations.
Grand Gedeh County Legislative Caucus is the latest to describe the video as evil, and an attempt taint the image of the County for its overwhelming support to President George Weah’s reelection.
In an ELBC interview Monday, September 19, 2022, Grand Gedeh County District-3 Representative, Alex Grant, wondered why such senseless, baseless and diabolical lie will be directed at the County.
Representative Grant called on his colleagues to collectively condemn the act, and urged the Justice Ministry to investigate the matter in accordance with law.
According to him, it would be knee-jerk to accuse specific group within the opposition bloc, because the video was not released with a tag.
However, the Grand Gedeh County lawmaker believes the making of the video was a product of unscrupulous individuals bent on undermining the peace and stability of the state.
