MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Elective Congress of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) has been rescheduled for 17th to the 19th of November this year, in Gbarnga, Bong County.
The initial November 10 to the 12th was changed, in consultation with its Executive Committee and the 2022 Executive Congress Committee, in line with the Union’s Constitution.
A PUL statement issued on Tuesday, November 9, 2022, said the decision is meant to allow its members, as well as invited guests to stay in their localities and participate in the upcoming National Population and Housing Census.
The Liberian Government recently announced that this year’s Census will kick off on Friday, November 11, 2022, which falls on the second day of the initial date selected for the PUL Congress.
According to the PUL, its recent decision was also reached in consultation with the candidates in the pending elections, adding that all activities of the Congress remain intact for the rescheduled date.
