RIVER GEE COUNTY, LIBERIA-Two top officials of River Gee County are calling on players and sporting stakeholders to remain calm.
Senator Jonathan Sogbie and Superintendent Philip Nyenuh’s calls come after some of the County based players, backed by other stakeholders, staged a protest over the weekend.
The aggrieved players and stakeholders blocked roads, accusing the River Gee County Sports Steering Committee of conducting justifications for players in Monrovia, instead of the County.
ELBC Correspondent quotes the Head of River Gee Sports Association, Edward Kuku, as saying the National County Meet is meant to promote peace and unity and scout local talents from the Counties.
Senator Sogbie and Superintendent Nyenuh have, however, assured that player justifications will be conducted in the County.
